On a trip to my favorite architectural salvage shop, I discovered a draping mass of thin metal out of which thousands of circles had been cut. What remained were interconnected curvilinear triangles forming outlines of sunbursts which caught the sunlight at different angles. Photographing those sunbursts through a prism, I was able to capture a full spectrum of glowing light and add a sense of ethereality to these industrial remnants
